Benefits

One of the greatest rewards of a career with Buckland & Taylor is working with a group of talented people who are all passionate about one thing: bridges. In our fast-paced workplace there is no limit to exciting, challenging and innovative projects. Our careers are careers of a lifetime.

Compensation

In order to fully enjoy the benefits of living in Vancouver, we work a 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off) and an average of 36 hours per week.

Compensation packages for our engineers are in line with those recommended by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC). Compensation packages for our other staff are competitive with the local market. In addition, we have a bonus structure in which all staff participate.

The Buckland & Taylor benefit package includes cost-sharing extended and basic medical health benefits, with group life and disability insurance and a cost sharing dental plan.

Professional Activities

Professional engagement is encouraged through options to attend conferences and for our professionals to submit their projects for publication in journals and other publications.

"It's a good feeling to start from scratch, then to watch a bridge get built and to go to the opening ceremony. You hear them make the speeches and talk about our company's involvement and you feel really proud about that."
- Mal Sidhu, Chief Drafter
