Buckland & Taylor Ltd. (B&T), is pleased to announce expansion of its office networks to include operations in Alberta. The Edmonton, Alberta office is B&T's second branch office, with its first located in Seattle, Washington.
The Edmonton office will service many of the local projects B&T is currently involved in and will enable B&T to add additional talent to our experienced team. B&T will soon start work on the $100 million Walterdale Bridge. The project scope includes the Preliminary Design, Detailed Design and Construction Services for the replacement of the existing structure. B&T will provide specialized expertise in long-span signature bridge design and bridge construction engineering. The current proposed bridge form is an arch bridge with a span of 240m and rising 40m above the roadway. The bridge will be a signature structure for the citizens of Edmonton, a vital link in Edmonton's extensive river valley parks and a gateway to Edmonton's downtown.
The Edmonton office will be led by Dale Serink, B&T's Director, Alberta Practice. Dale has over 30 years of experience in bridge engineering including 15 years with Alberta Transportation. Dale earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and his MBA from the University of Alberta. "Alberta, specifically Edmonton, is an excellent location to expand B&T's operations. It is a dynamic city that will provide a fantastic base of operations for Dale and his staff to grow our business on the local and provincial level." says Mr. Steve Hunt, B&T's President.
