Buckland & Taylor Ltd. Welcomes Dale Serink, P.Eng. as Director,  Alberta Practice.

Buckland & Taylor Ltd., a North Vancouver, B.C. - based engineering company specializing in bridge design, is pleased to announce expansion of its office networks to include operations in Alberta.  The Alberta office will be Buckland & Taylor's second branch office, with its first located in Seattle, Washington.

Leading Buckland & Taylor Ltd.'s Alberta office will be Dale Serink, P.Eng, MBA. Hired as Director, Alberta Practice, Mr. Serink has over 30 years of experience in bridge engineering including 15 years with Alberta Transportation. In 1995, he pioneered the transportation structures group within AECOM (UMA at the time) and co-managed the group until 2010. Most recently, Mr. Serink was a Senior Project Manager coordinating the design of a $200M project to twin Highway 2 through the Town of Peace River.

Mr. Serink has been involved in over 75 new bridge designs and over 200 bridge rehabilitation projects. He was the Project Manager for the replacement of the Athabasca River Bridge on Highway 40 in Alberta and was responsible for the twinning design on a section of the Trans-Canada Highway in Banff National Park for Alberta Transportation. Mr. Serink was also the Project Manager for the South Light Rail Transit (LRT) Extension Century Park Belgravia Road Grade Separation for the City of Edmonton.

Mr. Serink's career has also intertwined with the project history of Buckland & Taylor Ltd. Both Buckland & Taylor Ltd. and Mr. Serink, while employed by another firm, worked together on the bid-design of the Gateway Project which included the Port Mann Bridge in BC.

Mr. Serink holds his Professional Engineering license in Alberta. He is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers.
