156th Street/Highway 1 Underpass is located in the City of Surrey approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) south-east of the Port Mann Bridge in the area of the intersection of Highway 1 and 156th Street.

The Project provides continuity of traffic movement on 156th Street under Highway 1 between Fraser Heights and the City of Surrey south of Highway 1, and includes provisions for:

• The future widening of 156th Street south of Highway 1;
• Future widening of Highway 1;
• Future construction of HOV ramps; and
• Future signalized intersection at 156th Street and the HOV ramp terminal
