Bridges are often built in locations with serious site constraints. Traditional construction equipment limitations necessitate the design of temporary structures that are safe and economical.

Buckland & Taylor provides conceptual and detailed design on a variety of temporary structures and equipment including:

  • Temporary support structures;
  • Cranes and hoists;
  • Girder connection and fixation systems;
  • Erection equipment for cable installation;
  • Form travelers;
  • Erection gantries; and 
  • Skidding systems.

Sometimes you have to build temporary bridge components before you can build permanent ones!
