COMPANY PROFILEBuckland & Taylor Ltd. was formed in 1972 with a goal of providing the highest standard of bridge engineering. We specialize in design (particularly design for design/build), independent checking, evaluation, retrofit, rehabilitation, and construction engineering for bridges of all types. Our work is almost evenly split between bridge owners and bridge contractors. Such a mix keeps our designers on top of current construction techniques, which in turn leads to more constructible designs that are sensitive to the requirements of the Contractor, Owner, and Owner's Engineer. We operate worldwide from our headquarters in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and from our US office in Seattle, Washington. The company employs approximately 60 full-time bridge engineers who have been involved in some of the world's most challenging and prestigious bridge projects including the Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong, Rama 8 Bridge in Bangkok, the Rion Antirion Bridge in Greece, and the Lions' Gate Bridge in British Columbia. These and some of our 800+ bridge engineering projects are described on this web site. We strive to maintain a position of leadership in bridge engineering by hiring the best people.
