200th STREET INTERCHANGE
Location:Langley, BC, Canada Description:This overpass structure over Highway 1 is designed to carry six lanes of traffic over a new single point interchange with 200th Street in Langley. The structure comprises a post-tensioned concrete slab over two spans of 21.60 m (70.87 ft.) each. To accomodate curved access, the unusual overpass is bow tie shape in plan. The slab is seated at the top of abutment walls at both ends. Owner and Client:Government of British Columbia Scope of Work:Buckland & Taylor Ltd., in association with BA Blacktop Ltd. and McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd., carried out the Develop/Design/Construct contract for the Highway 1 / 200th Street Interchange. Buckland & Taylor Ltd. designed the overpass structure. Construction was completed in 2004.
