The crossings are located in BC over a wide geographic area throughout the lower mainland, the northern region between Kamloops and Prince George, and the eastern Kootenay region. Owner and Client:

BC Gas Utility Ltd.

Scope of Work:

In 1998, Buckland & Taylor Ltd. conducted the field inspections of the pipeline crossings. For each crossing, registered professional engineers determined the condition of the pipe, supporting bridge structure, pipe supports, pipe protective coatings and pipeline alignment. A separate, illustrated report was produced for each crossing.

Where available, catwalks, maintenance travelers and safety lines were used to conduct the inspections along with ladders and boats. A specialized Under Bridge Inspection Vehicle was used when it was the most efficient means of access. In many cases, lane closures were permitted only during night-time hours.
