CHBDC

Buckland & Taylor Ltd.'s engineers have played a major role in the development of the CAN/CSA-S6-00 and the upcoming next edition of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC).

Roger Dorton was the original Chair of the Technical Committee and chaired the Loads and Load Factors Subcommittee and the Long Span Task Force.

Peter G. Buckland chaired the Evaluation and Rehabilitation Subcommittee, and was a member of the Technical Committee plus a member of the Loads and Load Factors Subcommittee and Long Span Task Force.

Darrel Gagnon continues to be a member of the Code Calibration Subcommittee, Reliability Analysis Subcommittee, the Evaluation and Rehabilitation Subcommittee, S6-00 and the upcoming next edition of the Long Span Task Force and an alternate on the Loads and Load Factors Subcommittee.

Steve Zhu continues to be a member of the code Technical Subcommittee (seismic design) working on developing the next edition of the code.

Hisham Ibrahim is a current member of the Concrete Structures Subcommittee working on developing the next edition of the code.
