NAM-HAE BRIDGE
Location:Nam-Hae Island, Province of Kyongsangnam-do, South Korea Description:The Nam-Hae Suspension Bridge connects the South Korean peninsula with Nam-Hae Island. It was completed in 1973 and was the longest suspension bridge in South Korea for over 20 years.

Owner:Government of South Korea Client:Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. Scope of Work:The Nam-Hae Suspension Bridge was evaluated as part of a review of major bridge structures initiated by the Government of South Korea. This work was carried out by Hyundai for which Buckland & Taylor Ltd. provided expert advice in bridge inspection, seismic analysis, wind analysis, load rating, retrofit design and monitoring system evaluation and orthotropic deck retrofit design. Buckland & Taylor Ltd. also calibrated computed deformations against field measurements. Completed in 1997.
