Description:

The project consists of deck widening and seismic retrofit of 305 m (1000 ft.) steel arch bridge, with steel box girder approach spans, in Niagara Falls.

Scope of Work:

Buckland & Taylor Ltd. completed the seismic assessment and live load evaluation of the whole bridge and has developed:

• the site specific live load model;

• the project specific seismic criteria; and

• the project design criteria document.

Buckland & Taylor Ltd. completed the seismic retrofit design for the main and approach spans of the bridge and the deck replacement and rehabilitation design for the Canadian and US approach spans.
