ROCK CREEK CANYON BRIDGE
Location:BC, Canada Description:The Rock Creek Canyon Bridge is situated over a deep canyon. It was designed to HS 20 loading and was too narrow for modern traffic. The original two lane stringer supported deck was replaced with a wider, more durable one. The bridge capacity was increased and at least one lane traffic was retained through the construction period - all for a fraction of the cost of a new bridge. Total length: 286 m (938 ft.) Owner and Client:Government of British Columbia Scope of Work:Buckland & Taylor Ltd. completed an evaluation of the bridge and developed conceptual and final design for the renovation. Completed in 1992.
